Incorporating a range of disciplines, this site-responsive installation explores the origins of myth making on the Island of Ireland through a Queer Feminist lens.

Flax is delighted to present artist Shiro Masuyama's information session for emerging and interested artists who would like to find out more about how international residencies work. He has lectured about international residencies over the last 17 years, helping others to develop that side of their practice.

Here and Now Performance Festival takes place in The Courthouse Gallery, Ennistymon, on 16th August.

This is the inaugural Here and Now Performance Festival, celebrating and showcasing performance artists from the mid-west of Ireland. Within this event we will incorporate an introduction to performance art workshop, 4 live performances by Mid West based artists

#Please note Riddels Warehouse is not an accessible space, with no immeadiate access to bathroom facilities. Patrons are welcome to use the Catalyst Arts facilities, a five minute walk away & leave enter the space as needed throughout the performance.

Eleni Kolliopoulou is facilitating a workshop-based presentation entitled 'Rock, paper, scissors' at Nordic Summer University symposium happening from 29th July until 5th August at Logumkloster Hochschule, Denmark as part of her artistic research funded by H.F.R.I. and hosted by Ionian University.

CANÁIL A DÓ - live performance by Noel Molloy 27th July at 8PM Derrane Road Studio Four Mile House Roscommon - third performance related to the project Biseach : The Art Cycle https://biseachartcycle.weebly.com/ in connection with William and Mary University Williamsburg Virginia USA and the Eglinton Canal Galway. The program will consist of the live performance CANÁIL A DÓ and a screening of the documentary film Trash, Art, Spirals documentary produced by the William and Mary students who studied in Galway, Ireland in the summer of 2014.

The event is planned as a one hour live performance art event, during which time we will all perform in the same space, at the same time. We will all start at the same time and finish at the same time.

By ‘perform’ we mean that you are free to create or express yourself in any way you should choose. Sometimes it is easier to describe performance as an artistic intention. You are free to behave in an intentionally artistic creative way for the duration of the hour-long event.
